Game Coverage – EMU vs JIM

Wally: Good afternoon sports fans, this is Wally and Dusty bringing you the first game of Season 5 of the Wissenland Area National Kup. The heat is awful today, we keep hoping for a change of weather but our prayers have been unanswered.

Dusty: Well the scores are level despite the attempts being made.

Wally: What are you talking about? J.I.M is currently winning 1-0 over Estalia U.

Dusty: No, neither team has scored any casualties so the score is 0-0.

Wally: … you know the game is won with touchdowns, right?

Dusty: Let’s just agree to disagree.

Wally: Can someone bring me another Bugman’s please, or five? The scores are actually in favour of the Judiciously Improved Manlets.

Dusty: One human Blitzer sent off attempting to put the boot into the Minotaur. That’s my MVP right there.

Wally: Yes but Estalia U have a bench so the teams are still level in terms of players but the heat is proving to be a problem for both sides with several playing being too weak to take the field.

Dusty: Cowards, a little heat never killed anyone.

Wally: I’ve played in this type of weather before it is not as easy as you think.

Dusty: That just makes you a coward.

Wally: Ugh, and what round is this? One, oh great only another six months of this. Well at least the players are heading back out on to the pitch now for the second half let’s see how we go.

—————————————————————————————————

Dusty: And we have a tied game at the end of the second half.

Wally: Sigh, J.I.M wins according to the actual rules of the game and not whatever Dusty is using.

Dusty: Nope, tied game.

Wally: No change in the score after the second half, but there were more casualties.

Dusty: Hell yes, there was a lot of hitting but not enough injuries.

Wally: Well the passing game was also quiet but we have the first C.R.A.P game next week so I cannot wait to see some floaters going across the pitch.

Dusty: Hehehe, poop.

Wally: Well let’s throw to Spooky Steve for an interview with James May, captain of J.I.M, Steve.

Steve: *rattles*

May: Cheese.

Dusty: That dwarf is a legend.

Wally: And with that deep intellectual interview that will do for this broadcast. Next week we will have the coverage of P.R.I.C.K against T.O.A.S.T, we will hope you tune in then. On behalf of Fantasy Foxtel, thanks for watching.

This Week with Wally and Dusty

Wally: Hello sports fans, I’m Wally.

Dusty: And I’m Dusty.

Wally: And you’re watching the first episode of ‘This Week with Wally and Dusty’. On today’s show we’re going to give you all a run through our favourite teams looking to compete in Season 5 of the Wissenland Area National Kup.

Dusty: There is a mix of teams this season and no Goblin teams, so this season is looking great to me.

Wally: Thanks lad. With nine teams competing this season it is the biggest in the history of the W.A.N.K so let’s get started with our favourites. Dusty, why don’t we start with you?

Dusty: Sure, I think the team to watch this year is Estalia Men’s United.

Wally: Big surprise there.

Dusty: The team has everything you want, four blitzers bringing the pain. Farg Bone Chewer, the teams Ogre will be the core of the line of scrimmage and you’ve got plenty of speed with Manfred and Jorg the two catchers ready to run the ball across the line. I am hoping the teams captain, blitzer Knight Ulman is the type of guy who lets his fists do the talking.

Wally: It is a position heavy line up that is for sure. The coach for the team has opted for a deeper roster over team training sessions, it will be interesting to see how this treats them as the season goes on.

Dusty: I have every faith they’ll cream the Chaos Dwarves in the first round like we did back in my playing days. They looked worse than one of my dates after we were done with them.

Wally: Quality insight as always. Right, onto my choice I think the Cunning Runners Attacking with Pool-noodles are my favourites to win big this year.

Dusty: Eeeellllvvvveesss? The only good elf is a broken elf.

Wally: The High Elves in my opinion have the best passing game there is, I am really looking forward to see the number of completions sky rocketing this season.

Dusty: Don’t count on it, they fold like tissue paper.

Wally: We’ve never seen them in the W.A.N.K before so I am excited to see what they can bring. But High Elven armour is tougher than those of their Elven Union counterparts if Bob Bifford is any authority on the subject. Which he is.

Dusty: Pah, the Rock could take him.

Wally: And we’ll also get the favourite this week from our sideline reporter Spooky Steve. Steve who are you backing this season?

Steve: *rattles*

Wally: Taking the easy choice are we there Steve?

Dusty: They’re my third pick.

Wally: Well there you have it, next week we’ll try and sit down with Filson Wisk, coach of the Plastered Rowdy Ignited Crazy Killers and get his thoughts on the upcoming season.

Dusty: He’s a big fellow, betcha he’s down for the murdering.

Wally: Why don’t you ask him that when we talk to him, until then this has been This Week with Wally and Dusty, presented by Fantasy Foxtel.
