Pre-Game
Nandy: Good evening sports fans, and welcome to what could be the final game of the NOB II, presented by Fantasy Foxtel. Your commentators today, like always are myself Nandy Rewman, and I am joined today by former Deathroller player Mervyn. Mervyn how are things shaping up today?
Mervyn: Well the officials are running late, oh there they are now and their uniform is on inside out. Looks to be a quality official for the match today. I’ve heard that one of the Suns players has been really practising hard to try and get their team the W today too, we’ll see if that turns out to be anything.
Nandy: The weather is glorious today and we have 8,000 fans here cheering on the Artists Formerly Known as the Gold Coast Suns and the Mighty Ducks of Averheim. The referee has flipped the coin and yes the Ducks have won the toss and will receive the ball in the first half. Let us hope that the winning streak of the Suns is finally at an end.
First Half
Mervyn: And we have the Suns leading 1-0 as we head into the half but there are a lot of Snotlings not on the pitch Nandy.
Nandy: You are correct Mervyn. Over a quarter of the entire Suns roster has been either sent off or injured with one Snotling being beyond recovery.
Mervyn: The Ducks on the other hand are relatively unscathed after this round. I am sure their coach was more than a little nervous when their Blitzer was pushed into the crowd but nothing came of the fans wailing on him. He should consider himself lucky.
Nandy: This is the lowest number of Suns players to ever take the pitch and the Pump Wagon is in the dugout getting emergency repairs after a solid block by Fulton Reed. It seems like the game is getting interesting as we head into the second half.
Second Half
Mervyn: I’m the curse ladies and gentledwarves, the Ducks have come back in the second half to win the game 2-1. The numbers were just too great in the end with five players out of commission the Snotlings really rely on numbers to win and they folded like tissue paper today.
Nandy: What a game from the two Blitzers from the Ducks, both scoring and Guy Germaine getting two casualties in the process. Now we have one more game tomorrow to determine the winner of the event!
Mervyn: The coffers of the Suns run deep though, they can afford to replace those who cannot play in the grand final. I see a lot of Suns memorabilia layin’ around on the ground. I still think they’ve got this, Morg hasn’t had a stellar performance for a while now so I reckon he’s due for a big game tomorrow!
Nandy: Well I think we have Rattius down there talking to him right now. Rattius does Morg N Thorg have anything to say as we head into the game tomorrow?
Rattius: Brians.
Mervyn: Well I am hoping he’s right.
Nandy: Thanks for that report Rattius, and that concludes tonight’s broadcast. From all of us here at Fantasy Foxtel, good night.
